  6. Save, then check the entry in the list (click on the♦♦♦ visual arts section♦♦♦)

Children's books and comics

Children's books and comics for which you are the rights holder are NOT eligible for this payment if they are already listed in the directory and your name is indicated (see the "My publications" section of your account).

The reason is that titles in this section will be considered for reproduction royalties and the lump-sum payment to "book authors" (these titles cannot then also be eligible for the visual arts payment).

Self-published publications

Self-published publications are NOT eligible for this payment if they are already listed in the directory (see the "My publications" section of your account).

The reason is that titles in this section will be considered for reproduction royalties and the lump-sum payment to "book authors" (these titles cannot then also be eligible for the visual arts payment).

Rights to your works: do you own them?

Make sure you own the rights to your work! Publications in either of the following situations are NOT eligible for this payment:

  • The rights to works you have created as an employee (e.g. as an employee photographer for certain newspapers) do not belong to you: they belong to your employer.
